Day One – August 17th
The first three days of this course (July 6th – 8th) comprise of virtual face-to-face online sessions (9.30 – 2.30) via Microsoft Teams. You will have received an invite to join the course Team by email, please follow the instructions contained to join the live workshops.
9.30- 10.30- Using Teams, team demo and team challenges and practice

10:30- 11:15- The place of STEM in the Irish curriculum and in your classrooms
- What is the direction for STEM in primary schools as set out in STEM policies.
- Discussion about this in channels- where do you see STEM fitting?
- Can you give your best example of STEM in your classroom to date or in your school?
11:15- 11.30 Suggestion to gather any arts or recyclable materials in the home ?
11:30- 12:00 – BREAK
12:00- 1:15 – Unplugged and Maker Challenges
1:15- 2:00 Introduction to coding and MakeCode for micro:bit
