Flexibility definitely the key Mary. To meet the needs of children, the content and the teachers personalities and skills
I love how your station teaching is planned to gradually build up the skills of the children particularly in relation to fine motor. I may magpie!!
Thanks for sharing your experience. It shows the value of a collaborative approach, reducing the workload and sharing the expertise.
Always great to be affirmed in your own practice!
Space certainly be a challenge!
I must look into symboloo, I haven’t heard of it
Yes Niamh, very easy to encorporate Heggerty into the beginning of your sessions as you describe. Later in the year I also find out great to pull put randomly when I had 5 minutes to fill (not to often!!)
Hi Annie, I like your plan and the children will get a lot of input. As the ufli lessons take 30 minutes 4 days a week usually you may find yourselves tight for time with rest of curriculum. If so you could use lead and support model. Those weeks when you are doing just 1 lesson the model you are describing will be perfect.
Good to have clear plan in place going into new year
Ye obviously have very well established practice in place.
Glad the course helped you decide what was best for your class
That is a very positive example of how ICS can be used to spread the learnings from CPD
Thanks for sharing your varied experience
The advantage of your experience is that you can now choose the most appropriate form of ICS to meet the students needs
Ye have clearly put so much thought into the why and the how of your ICS. Best of luck addressing the needs of the clearly challenging groups
