Great plans Lynne
Absolutely especially using clear distraction free websites like these. Fiona
Great points raised here Irene and Emma. I especially love impact on confidence and self esteem. Fiona
I think you have highlighted the main benefits here Orla for the student with SEN.
Yes Emma, these are super for station teaching too as you can create many variations for the group that needs more practice. Fiona

It’s great you are seeing the applications to the EAL context Daphne
Hi Imelda, First of all it sounds like you are doing lots! This is an area we can all improve on! You are right to choose 1 or 2 things to prioritise going into the next year. If you take on too much nothing will become established with the pressures of the job. Plan 1 or 2 small changes and when you have those up and running go back to the Continuum and look what else would work in your set up. Fiona
<p style=”text-align: center;”>Thanks for sharing Orna, that’s a really useful link.</p>
I agree Emma that conferencing allows us to give real feedback to students and also to dialogue with them about their work. It is very time intensive though so working as a team really helps with this. Fiona
Yes we forget how good it is for all of us to receive genuine praise. I think children expect it from us and their parents but that it feels much more real coming from peers. And as always the feel good factor is as good in giving as receiving! Fiona
Oh I love this Noelle. Will definitely be stealing the FISH approach. Thanks Fiona
Hi Aisling, videos would be super for the children you speak about here too… showing development in their speech and communication skills. Fiona
Absolutely Kitty, they need to know what they’re looking for e.g. capital letters, body language etc Fiona
Hi Alan, peer assessment is great, it really helps children focus on the learning intentions when they are looking for it in someone else’s work. Fiona
