Thanks Anne-Marie,
Love that interaction with The Universal Sandpit site, always great to see features in action before we try them in the classroom! As you say, the possibilities with Speechify and Diffit are endless, its a good idea to hone in on one use or tool with each to get started and once comfortable with that, move onto a new feature!
Many thanks for your contribution,
Fiona
Thanks Nicola,
I agree the resources for Ready, Set, Go Maths are quite easily accrued making it a very accessible resource while also being very engaging and practical. Highlights that a resource doesn’t always have to be an extravagant or complicated to be good!

Morning Lynn,
The premium version of Speechify is only free for 3 days, after which it requires payment but the Free version, which is what we recommend, remains free, but with some limitations on the features.
I’m including the link directly to the sign up page where the three options are outlined for you, if you click on the free one you can use Speechify for free in your classroom.
Hope this helps!
Fiona
Thanks for sharing those ideas Mary Clare. I really like the way you have tailored them specifically to your setting. It sounds like all three will be helpful to you and your students in the year ahead.
I have found the Cause and Effect tool excellent in the past, particularly in the SET setting where I work with a lot of disregulated and impulsive children. These visuals give a great springboard for conversation without it being personal to the child themselves.
Many thanks,
Fiona
Thanks Terese,
I like that you have chosen the exact parts of these websites that you plan on utilising. As with any digital tool, having a specific focus like this will help to get the best out of it.
Many thanks,
Fiona
Great resources Paula. As a teacher working in the SET setting I think these are great choices and like the way you have detailed how you would use them with your classes.
Thank you for sharing,
Fiona
Thanks Nina. Great to highlight that the Micro Maths, Oide website can also be displayed in Gaeilge, as it can be so difficult to find resources which are.
This looks like a really great unit of work Deirdre and what a win with Notebook LM! A perfect example of how using an AI tool correctly can enhance both teacher and learner experience. I’m sure you are looking forward to sharing this with your students next term.
Thanks for sharing,
Fiona
If I were to choose just one tool from this whole course Annaleen I think Magic School AI would be it. It offers such a wide array of tools which can enhance teacher practice, learner experience and student outcomes. A great place to start!
Glad you enjoyed it Jordana! The students really enjoy it and don’t even realise that they are simultaneously working on their prompting skills, a win win!
Very interesting to see how you have utilised Magic School AI in your setting Elaine. This looks like a very comprehensive plan. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Michelle for highlighting the Spoon Theory, definitely sthg we all need to take more heed of in the fast paced nature of modern life!
Many thanks,
Fiona
Hi Stephanie,
Speechify’s free version doesn’t have a time limit but does have limitations on the number of voices available and the number of words you can process per month. While these are factors to take into consideration, it still offers huge functionality within those constraints.
Many thanks for your contribution,
Fiona
I think we had all reached saturation point with a lot of digital/online platforms after Covid. Great to get back to seeing why they were so valuable and worthwhile to us then and still are now!
Thank you for your contribution,
Fiona
Lovely suggestions Stephanie. We use “Have you got Maths Eyes” in my school. We recently had a numeracy inspection & feedback from the inspector was very much in favour of the Maths Eyes posters/pictures that the students had taken themselves & which were displayed in the classroom rather than generic Maths related posters/displays. The “Have you got Maths eyes” initiative also runs competitions from time to time which are worth keeping an eye out for- we have a student travelling to an award ceremony in Dublin in September to collect her prize- highly motivating for everyone!
